HERE IS HOW WE MEASURE:

Do not measure a person.  

Compare to a currently fitting shirt: 

* Take a well fitting BUTTON DOWN SHIRT

* Use a tape measure

* Lay the shirt down flat, on the back side

* Measure from side to side, going across aprox 1/2" under the arm pit area.

ONE SIDE ONLY, NOT ALL THE WAY AROUND
* X-SMALL = Aprox size: 4T / Child 0-2 or

(13" seam to seam, back side only, under arm pit)
* SMALL= Aprox size: 2/4 child or -

(14" seam to seam, back only- under the armpits)
* MED= Aprox size: 6/8 child or -

(15" seam to seam, back only- under the armpits)
