From the back of the jacket, UNDER THE ARMPITS area, not above, take a tape measure and go across, from seam to seam. NOT ALL THE WAY AROUND.
DO NOT MEASURE A PERSON FOR COMPARISON. Only measure a jacket, or a button down shirt.
